Question: Which side do you agree with more, the students and parents who criticize the education system in Singapore
or the officials in the Ministry of Education? Why?

I agree with the officials in the Ministry of Education more because of two reasons.
First of all, according to the contents at the beginning of the article, some experts pointed out that Singapore has tied education reforms to the pursuit of national prosperity and  that is one of the reasons for Singapore’s rise to riches. 

Second, I think the education system of Singapore is superb. There are some examples in the article. First, Singapore’s government has a strong commitment to hiring high quality teachers. Second, the policy makers of Singapore work to align the school system with industrial needs. Third, the school system of Singapore adopts digital devices to help the students for learning. 

To sum up, I agree with the officials in the Ministry of Education more since their system of education is perfect and excellent. I think maybe Taiwan should use the same education system as well.

After reading the article “Aiming High: Education and Economic Growth in Singapore “, I think their system of education is perfect and excellent. I think maybe Taiwan should use the same education system as well.
