I think there are three ways companies can reward and keep their top-performing employees too.

Second, offer an extra day off. If an employee works extra time to complete an assignment you give, maybe you can give him or her some extra day off for rewards.
Third, schedule an all-company activity. For example, you can plan a party with BBQ and some fun games for the employees to play. This can build relationships and collaboration between different departments.
To sum up, I think these three ways can help a company reward and keep their top-performing employees from going to another company.
